The Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technologists

The Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers was established by 1960, with the aim of developing aircraft and spacecraft engineering, improving safety in aviation, and advancing education and research in these areas. The organisation became known as SLAET, The Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technologists. In 1987, SLAET was incorporated into the Royal Aeronautical Society.
