Star Engineering Co Ltd
The Star Engineering Company of Wolverhampton produced cars, lorries and motorcycles, although in 1910 they also built two aircraft: one biplane and one monoplane.
During WWI, Star Engineering stopped producing motor cars and instead concentrated on producing commercial vehicles and ammunition. By 1919, after normal production had resumed, Star was one of the six largest motor manufacturers in the UK, with customers around the world. Production peaked between 1921 and 1925, when Star sold about 1,000 cars a year, but sales then steadily declined and the company went into receivership in 1932.
