The Standards Department was a department of the English Board of Trade, with responsibility for the imperial standards of weights and measures. The department was established by the Standards of Weights, Measures and Coinage Act 1866.

After undergoing numerous iterations following government reorganisation over the years, the former responsibilities of the department now sit within the Office for Product Safety & Standards.
