Rogers, Gordon Leonard 1916 - 2006

(b 1916), Professor of physical optics

Gordon Leonard Rogers had an early career lecturing at the Carnegie Laboratory of Physics at University of Dundee (1946-51). He then worked at Victoria University College in Wellington, New Zealand from 1952 - 1955. Followed by a principal lectureship in wave optics at the College of Advanced Technology, Birmingham and a Professorship of Physical Optics at the rebadged University of Aston in Birmingham.

Rogers published a few books in his time including 'Noncoherent Optical Processing (Pure & Applied Optics)' in 1978.

In 1980, once retired from optical physics, Rogers inherited Enys Estate and founded the Enys Trust.
