Globe & Simpson (Manchester) Limited 1936
Globe and Simpson was formed in 1921 to acquire an existing business, of which the Manchester branch was a part. The company was a retailer, repairer and wholesale dealer of electrical and other motor goods, such as car batteries. Globe and Simpson became a subsidiary of the Lucas Group of companies in 1937. In 1949 Globe and Simpson (Manchester) was described as "automobile electrical engineers". The Manchester business was based at 16 Lloyd Street, Deansgate, Manchester.
