Historical venue and events centre in Darley Dale, Matlock, Derbyshire. It was opened to the public in 1890 by Lady Lousia Whitworth as a centre for education and recreation, and included an indoor swimming pool, an assembly hall, reading and committee rooms, a museum of natural history, a hotel and a landscaped park.
