Ferrier, Helen

Dr Ferrier is the chief scientific advisor for the National Farmers Union, she world with policies, farmers and organisations across the UK to give advice regarding agricultural issues and the policy issues that arise with biotechnology and genetically modified organisms.
Ferrier studied for her MSC and PHD in science and environmental technology at Imperial College London before becoming a research assistant there until 2004. After this she gained an advisory position at National Farmers Union and has worked her way up to head of her team, also serving a short contract as acting head of policy services for the union.
