International Inventions Exhibition Organising Committee
The International Inventions Exhibition was a world's fair held in South Kensington in 1885. Queen Victoria was patron and her son Albert Edward, Prince of Wales was president of the organising committee.
The exhibition attracted 3.75 million visitors in the time it was open between May and October 1885 and featured gardens, fountains and music as well as inventions. Exhibitors from the Manchester area included Mather and Platt, W.T. Glover, Daniel Adamson & Co, Sharp, Stewart & Co, and Goodfellows and Matthews.
