Linder Sterling, known as Linder, was born in Liverpool in 1954. She is a British artist known for her photography, radical feminist photomontage, and confrontational performance art. Linder worked with bands and record labels in the Manchester punk and post-punk scenes during the 1970s. Her work focuses on questions of gender, commodity and display.
