Aurum Press

Independent publishing company Aurum Press was founded in 1976. The imprint specialised in non-fiction, in particular history, sport, military and current affairs. It was consolidated into White Lion Publishing along with the Quintessence and Francis Lincoln imprints in 2018. All four imprints are part of the The Quarto Group. Quarto announced in December 2019 that it would relaunch the Aurum Press in January 2020 as a publisher of narrative non-fiction with categories including travel, sport, history, popular science, popular culture, “Daily Telegraph Unpublished Letters” and National Trail Guides.

An earlier publishing imprint called Aurum Press Ltd was in existence between 1896 and 1916, but is not thought to be connected to the company founded in 1976.
