Hermann Vaske is a director, author, and producer from Germany. He has directed twenty documentaries and short films, including theatrical releases and films for television. After completing his studies at the University of the Arts in Berlin and at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, Vaske worked for advertising agencies, including Saatchi&Saatchi in London and GREY New York.

In 1979, Vaske photographed the British rock band Joy Division at their Kant Kino gig in Berlin.

Vaske is a member of the German Art Directors Club, professor at the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Trier, and a member the European Film Academy (EFA).
