Mojo

Music magazine Mojo was first published by Emap on 15 October 1993. Founding editor Paul Du Noyer described the ethos of the magazine as having "the sensibilities of a fanzine and the design values of Vogue." The magazine title is an homage to Delta blues mythology.

The magazine is known for its in-depth coverage of music genres and artists. It inspired later magazines Blender and Uncut. Music critics who have written for the magazine include Charles Shaar Murray, Greil Marcus, Nick Kent, Jon Savage and Sylvie Simmons.

Mojo was first published online in 2001. It introduced the Mojo Honours List, an awards ceremony made up of readers’ and critics’ awards, in 2004.

Since January 2008, it has been published by Bauer.
