John Lee

John Lee is a boat designer and builder based in Chorley, Lancashire. Lee was the owner of Miss Windermere VI, the world's fastest propeller-driven hydroplane. Following the death of his father, Peter Lee, in 1995, John Lee worked with driver Jim Noone and a team of engineers to develop Miss Windermere VI in order to break its own existing speed record on Lake Windermere. John Lee donated the boat to the Museum of Science and Industry in 2007.
