British-owned railway company, founded in 1887, that operated a broad gauge, 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm), railway network in the Argentine provinces of San Luis, San Juan and Mendoza. In 1907 it was taken over on a lease by the Buenos Aires and Pacific Railway (BA&P).
