Peter Spence and Sons Ltd, originally know as Peter Spence, was an alumina company based in Manchester. It would be established after the founder, Peter Spence, moved to Manchester to establish a works at Pendleton in order to access cheaper fuel for his alum process. It would later expand from this single process so that by 1947 it was involved in a range of chemical process. In 201 it was placed into voluntary liquidation and dissolved in 2012.
