(1854 - 1924) professor

August Otto Föppl was born in Gross-Umstadt in what was then Hesse but is now German. He was a professor of Technical Mechanics and Graphical Statics at the Technical University of Munich. In 1894 he wrote a book on James Clerk Maxwell's theory of electricity. He would die on 12th October 1924 in Ammerland.
