Engineering is a monthly magazine that researches and reports on the latest manufacturing techniques, information technology, product development and management strategies. It was initially established in 1866 by Zerah Colburn, a locomotive designer, using funds from Henry Bessemer. It was produced as a rival to The Engineer, which had been established 10 years earlier. Initially, it was published weekly but this has since changed to monthly.
