Power-Gas Corporation
The Power-Gas Corporation was established in 1901 to produce gas using the Mond Process as well as producing equipment for it. The company would also acquire Ashmore. Benson, Pease and Co which became its principal subsidiary. In 1918 it purchased Arthur H Limn and Rambush, which led to Dr H Rambush becoming the company's chief engineer, and later chairman. In 1951 the company acquired Rose, Downs and Thompson and later in 1958 it would cooperate with John Thompson, and Humphreys and Glasgow to produce plant for the nuclear industry. In 1960 the Power-Gas Corporation merged with Davy-United to become Davy-Ashmore Ltd.
