Giggleswick School

Giggleswick School was founded in 1499 and in 1533 received its royal charter granted land and endowed it with the titl, The Free Grammar School of King Edward the VI of Giggleswick. Giggleswick has claims to be one of the oldest public schools, although claims vary depending on the criteria used. Th e school moved from its original site in 1867, to where it still exists.
