J. Finsler im Meiershof was a chemical and pharmaceutical products factory, based in Oerlikon, a suburb of Zürich. It was founded by Jakob Finsler (1796-1858) who opened his first drugstore in 1833. The business later passed to his son Georg Jakob Finsler (1826-?), who expanded the business significantly, which included building a chemical factory in Oerlikon which in 1895 moved to Bahnhaldenstrasse 14 in Seebach. In 1887 the company passed to Adolf Finsler (1852-1907), the son of Georg Jakob Finslerm, but he left in 1903. As a result, the company changed its name to 'AG vormals Finsler im Meiershof.
