The Association of Engineers from the School of Liege was founded on 28 December 1847 by Louis Trasenster (1816-1887) as a network of engineers. It later changed it name the L'Association des Ingénieurs diplômés de l'Université de Liège, shortened to ALLg, under which name it still operates.
