Bound brown booklet. Contains an inserted slip inside which reads 'Employment of children in factories. Préfecture de police, Dept. de la Seine. Children's certificate book.' Appears to be a booklet given to children upon the completion of a primary education, as proof so that they could work in industry. The booklet would be stamped by the Mayor's office.
