The Women's Work School in Reutlingen was founded in 1863. Subjects taught focussed on the skills associated with the textile industry and trade and in home work such as embrodery. It moved into its own building in 1877. There are drawing rooms, machine rooms, halls for demonstrations and exhibitions, an auditorium for lectures, a gymnasium and a kitchen.
