Scuola di Setificio di Como

The Como Silk Factory School in Como, Italy, opened on 5 April 1868. In 1871 it became par tof the Royal Technical Institute. In 1903 it became a National State Institute thanks to the interest of the Como senator Paolo Carcano, after whom the institute would be named in the following years; in 1963 it became an industrial technical institute with three areas: chemical dyeing, textile design, weaving. Ths School, now called the Paolo Carcano Silk Factory Institute of Como, is still active.
