The School of Industrial Arts in Geneva (in German, Schule für Kunstgewerbeschule) was founded in 1876 but included the former Special School of Art Applied to Industry. The school opned in 1877 and . courses included modeling, sculpture, goldsmithing, jewelry and ceramics. The School's mission was to give craftsmen a general professional education that they would not have acquired through apprenticeship. In 1933 it merged with the School of Fine Arts to become the School of Arts and Crafts.
