File is comprised of three bundles of photographic materials and one postcard depicting roads and campaigns organised by Campaign for Better Transport and others. Bundle one contains three photographs by Rob Lampard, Chris Barham, and others depicting images relating to anti-road campaigns in Bingley (c. 2002); Twyford Down (c. 1992); and the East Coast Motorway (1991). Bundle two contains twenty colour and black-and-white photographs depicting various English roads, including one of a road in Devon (1989), one of the A30 in Exeter (1989), one depicting the A66, three depicting toll booths in Humberbridge photographed by Alexander Apperley (1990), one of M25 South photographed by Alexander Apperley, and twelve images of London roads; and one postcard photographed by Airviews (M/C) Limited of '"M63 - Motorway through a town" by W B Ball'. Bundle three contains two colour print photographs depicting anti-road protests and figures holding placards including 'There's no relief for residents' and 'Kill car culture … before it kills us all', one colour print photograph depicting graffiti 'Even lead-free cars kill the planet', and one black-and-white photograph depicting participants of an anti-roads demonstration (c. 1990-2005); two colour print photographs created by Robert (Bob) Davis (1995) depicting a building on the M11 link road with campaign graffiti 'Roads are bad for the tissues of your mind', 'Stop the M11 link road', and other phrases (1995); and two black-and-white 8x10 print photographs created by Alexander Apperley depicting protesters in the ALARM UK Rail Not Roads National Demonstration (Demo) (1993).
