The company was awarded the contract for fire extinguishers onboard London Omnibuses in 1924, and moved to Brentwood Essex in 1930, where they constructed a massive fire demonstration ground. The company was taken over by Chubb and Sons in 1967 and the name was changed to Chubb Fire Security in 1971.
