Motorcycle manufacturer established in Ancoats, Manchester, c1900. Royal Ruby were motorcycles produced from 1911 to 1933, in various locations. They moved to Altrincham in 1919, and then to Oldham in 1923. The post-war recession affected the firm badly and it went into liquidation. In 1924, Horrocks' Motor House purchased the company's goodwill and assets.
