William Ernest Dalby 1862 - 1936

1876/7 - worked in the Stratford Locomotive Works of the Great Eastern Railway; 1884 - worked at Crewe Works, London & North Western Railway; At Imperial College, London he produced a number of balancing engines; member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers; 1913 - elected a Fellow of the Royal Society
