1833 - Thomas Day, manufactures veterinary medicines at Wantage, Oxfordshire

1834 - Thoams Day, Red Lion Street, London and makes the equine tonic 'Black Drink' and other equine remedies

1846 - business solely in Wantage. London outlet closed.

1852 - William Henry Day, son of Thomas Day, becomes a partner and they trade as Day & Son Ltd.

1856 - located also at 12 Sheldon Street, Paddington, London

c. 1857 - George Frederick Hewitt taken into partnership; company renamed Day, Son & Hewitt Ltd.

1862 - moves from Sheldon Street to 22 Dorset Street, London (until the 1950s).

1881 - partnership split; Day family move to Crewe and establish a new Day & Son Ltd. George Hewitt remains in London under the name of Day, Son & Hewitt.

1950-2005 - business changes hands twice and is purchased by The Tangerine Group, along with Carr & Day & Martin.
