E K Cole Limited 1926 - 1960

1926 - EKCO founded by Eric Kirkham Cole (1901-1966); from 1926 manufactured radios; quickly branched out into Bakelite production (for cases);

1960 - Ekco merged with Pye to form British Electronic Industries Ltd.;

1935 - invested in Scophony Ltd, mechanical television system; wartime production of radar and military wireless sets; post war television and car radio production;

1973 - absorbed into conglomerate; plastics arm continued as Lin Pac Mouldings Limited.
