Franz Kochmann Fabrik photographischer Apparate founded in Dresden in 1921; manufactured folding and reflex cameras; Franz Kochmann emigrated from Germany in 1931, leading to the renaming of the company as Korelle-Werk G. H. Brandtmann; Dresden factory destroyed during second world war; Korelle-Werke restarted production in 1947, but absorbed by the state-owned VEB WEFO in 1948; WEFO was taken over by VEB Welta-Kamerawerke in 1951, producing the last Korelle-cameras until 1952.
