Traded at Place Dauphine 21, Paris, France (1864-72), formerly worked with his uncle, Georges Oberhaeuser (1798-1868), in Paris from 1857 and took over the business in 1860. Business moved to Potsdam in 1870 after Franco-Prussinan War but kept an office in Paris run by Prazmowski until taken over by Nachet et Fils
