"THE CAMBRIDGE RAILWAY CIRCLE was originally formed by Railwaymen in 1969 and has become a focus for local enthusiasts and railwaymen alike.
The Circle's aim is to provide a convivial and informal opportunity for all persons fascinated in the railway scene by the arrangement of illustrated talks, films and video screenings, presented by members of the club or by railway experts in their respective fields. The programme of monthly indoor meetings is enhanced by the provision of outdoor visits to preserved railways, historic towns, river trips and, occasionally, the running of our own charter train." - From Cambridge Railway Circle's website
