Malayan Railway 1948
The Malayan Railway is the main rail operator in pennisula Malaysia. Also known as Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB). It is wholly owned by the federated government. The West Coast line runs from Padang Besar to Singapore via Butterworth, Penang and Kuala Lumpur. The East Coast line runs between Gemas in Negeri Sembilan and Tumpat in Kelantan. May parts of the line runs through deep jungle and has earned the company the nickname 'Jungle Railway'.
