1961, founded by Susan Williams-Ellis, and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis. Company formed from combination of pottery companies - A E Grays Pottery and Kirkhams' Limited. In the 1970's, the company brought out the 'Botanic Garden' design range, one of their most famous. Williams-Ellis's father was the creator of Portmeirion Village in North Wales.
