Founded 1919 in Bad Cannstatt; initially made a variety of electrical and mechanical goods, but quickly concentrated on turntable motors for record player; also manufactured cameras; cameras mostly sold in Germany; taken over by Electromophon in 1921; company failed in 1931; Albert Ebner then founded AECO which continued to produce high-end gramophones; 1936 merged with Perpetuum to become Perpetuum-Ebner with Ebner as its CEO.
