Sawyer's Inc is best known for inventing the View-Master reels and 3D viewers which they began marketing in 1939. Since 1966 when Sawyer's was acquired by General Analine and Film (GAF) Corporation, the company has passed through several owners. In 1981 GAF sold View-Master to Arnold Thaler who operated the company under the name View-Master International Group.
