Born London 1928; served as Army photographer during second world war; worked for 'Picture Post 1949-1956, producing over 400 photo-essays; concentrated on journalism after 1956, though continiung to take photographs on freelance basis; ran own management consultancy from 1970s. He was an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and passed away on 6th April 2025, aged 97 years.
