Ludger Mintrop

1922 - invented and developed the Mintrop Mechanical Seismography in Germany. 1923 - Mintrop achieved a patent for the world's first commercial seismograph. This was the catalyst for the initiation of seismic exploration worldwide. It is possible that he was responsible for the first discovery of the Orange salt dome in the Texas Gulf Coast.
