Founded 1925 by Peter Bang (1900-1957) and Sven Olufsen (1897-1949) in Struer, Jutland; small company in the 1930s and 1940s producing sound recording equipment, loudspeakers and radios, with particular interest in acoustics and high fidelity music recording; developed radios, radiograms and televisions in the 1950s; B & O products are often of distinctive designs. Bang & Olufsen Medicom a/s subsiduary produces self-mediacation devices.
