Resident intern at St Bartholomews Hospital, London in1933, becoming registrar in 1935. Appointed registrar at the Hospital for women, Soho Square in 1938, also practiced in Harley Street. Murless served in the Royal Navy as a Surgeon Lt Commander. After the war he worked in Durban, South Africa as an obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Addington and King Edward VIII Hospitals. Married in 1948 and became a founder member of the College of Physicians, Surgeons and Gynaecologists of South Africa. Inventor of the Murless Head extractor.
