Manufacturer of mixing desks, formed 1966 to take over management of Neve Electronics founded by Rupert Neve 1961; sold to Bonochord in 1973. Bonochord changed into ESE (Energy Services & Electronics and in 1985 Neve was bought by Siemens, who sold it to AMS in 1992; the resultant company, AMS-Neve, was bought in 2005 by Tom Misner of the SAE (School of Audio Engineering); December 2006 it was announced that Oribi Investments had purchased a controlling interest in the company. Neve was the first company to develop and manufacture a digital audio mixer - the DSP-1.
