Kalee Limited was a subsidiary of A Kershaw and Sons Ltd of Leeds. It was established in 1917 as Kershaw Projection Company, but 'Kalee' projectors were manufactured from 1911 as a brand name. Later, the company became Kalee Limited. In 1943, they were acquired by Gaumont British Group becoming GB-Kalee Limited, then became part of Rank Organisation in 1947. The company ceased in 1958, but A Kershaw and Sons Ltd continued until 1981.
