French photographer known for his large-scale color works depicting conflicts, world events or social issues. Began work as a photojournalist with Sipa Press in mid 1980s; joined Magnum in 1994 (left in 2004). Distinguished himself during the 1980s and 1990s in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Rwanda and Chechnya. In 2001 Delahaye began a new series of photographs, shot at the scenes of wars and global events using large and medium format cameras.
