1917 - Leopold Bellak was born in Vienna

1935 - studied medicine at the University of Vienna

1938 - arrived in the United States; studied psychology on a scholarship at Boston University and later on a fellowship at Harvard

1943 - became a US citizen.

1943-45 - served in the Army Medical Corps in World War II. 1971-1988 - staff member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Bellak wrote extensively about psychotherapy, adult attention deficit disorder and schizophrenia.

1950 - Invents the Thematic Apperception Test, and the Children's Apperception Test.
