Morris Minivan, 1961. Reg. no. 82 PAF. Chassis no. M/AV4/205400, engine no. 8AM/FAU/H 2080188. The Morris Mini-Minor is one of the most iconic British cars from the sixties. This is an example of the van version of the Mini which went on sale in June 1960. Its compactness and good road holding made it popular not only amongst shopkeepers but also with the thrifty motorist with a low price of £360 due to the exemption of vans from purchase tax. This van was owned and used by Mr Roger Matthews in the family electrical business in Cornwall and was maintained by him until 1981. In 20 years of use only the tyres and exhaust had to be replaced after 116,186 miles. 850 Morris Minivan
