Born in Portland Oregon, Macmillan now lives and works in Bath; studied at Bath Academy of Art and the Slade School of Art, where he developed his time-slice image 'freezing' camera The Josephine rig, 1981-1984; produces still and moving image works, notably 'Dead Horse', 1998; in 1994 established Time-Slice Films Ltd. working with televison and film companies.
