Gelatin silver print entitled 'Mrs D lived with her teenage daughter and son in this cellar room of a multi-let house in Mulgrave Street. Her other son was in care until she found larger, more suitable accommodation. The room received no natural light, and was extremely damp. The lavatory on the first floor was shared with everyone else in the house. The bathroom was not functioning. The rent was £3.25'. Liverpool 8, March 1969. Photograph by Nick Hedges.
