1970 - previously a division of Scott Lithgow Ltd and formed from a merger with Scotts' Shipbuilding & Engineering Co Ltd. 1977 - nationalised. 1981 - following nationalisation, the company was subject to British Shipbuilders' reorganisation. 1984 - the business was sold to Trafalgar House plc. 1986 - shipbuilding ceased.
